Turning a local poultry business into a credible online presence through smart, UCD.

Tools Used

When a local poultry farm reached out, they had no website — just word-of-mouth referrals, phone calls, and WhatsApp messages. But they were growing fast and needed a way to look more professional, especially to buyers they hadn’t met before.

I designed a clean, mobile-friendly single-page website to help them show what they sell, build trust with first-time buyers, and make it easier for people to reach out. The focus was simple: clarity, credibility, and easy contact.

The Problem

The farm had great products; broilers, chicks, catfish, and eggs, but no digital way to showcase them. If you didn’t know someone who already bought from them, it was hard to trust the brand or even understand what was available.

They needed a way to tell their story, show their products, and answer common questions all in one place, and mostly for mobile users.

The Solution

I designed a one-page website with clear sections:

  • A hero section with a clear intro of who they are and what they do

  • A brief text about the poultry business

  • A visual display of their products

  • A “Why Choose Us” section with facts that build trust

  • Real testimonials from happy customers

  • A dedicated contact section

  • A simple FAQ to reduce buyer hesitation

  • Strategically placed CTA buttons that works instantly

Everything was built with first-time buyers in mind - no clutter, no confusion, just what people needed to feel confident reaching out.

Design Process

Strategy: Lean UX

This wasn’t a corporate design project — no long meetings or teams of stakeholders. It was just me, the client, and the challenge of making something real and useful. So I kept things lean: focused on their goals, designed fast, and tested directly with the people who’d use the site. I let the content guide the layout — because in this case, the words mattered more than fancy visuals.

My Approach

I started by asking: What does a buyer need to feel confident purchasing poultry products online? From there, I broke it down into three things:

  1. Clear product information: What exactly is for sale?

  2. Trust signals: How do I know this business is legit?

  3. Quick action: How can I reach them immediately?

This thinking drove the decisions for the final layout. I prioritized structure over style while letting animation enhance interaction, not distract from it. The result is a content-led design that is simple, engaging, and easy to use.

Reflection & Impact

This project reminded me that design isn’t about just decoration - it’s about confidence. When people feel informed and safe, they act. That’s what this site does: it removes doubt and replaces it with trust.

Since the launch, the farm has reported more inquiries from non-referral customers - people finding the site through search or links and feeling comfortable enough to reach out. That shift in behavior is what a good design should lead to.
